Hwaseong FortressNamed as a UNESCO World Heritage, Hwaseong Fortress is a fortress built during the late Joseon dynasty, namely 1794-1796. The fort with walls of 5.52 km long was built for the purpose of defense, even this place is said to have various military facilities that cannot be found anywhere else. Surround the fort on the path that makes it easy for visitors. Visit in autumn to witness the Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival.

Haenggung PalaceHaenggung Palace, built by King Jeongjo 1789 so he can be closer to his late Father Crown Prince Sado's royal tomb, to show his loyal filial piety. It also become the power symbol of King Jeongjo's reign as he once succeed moved the Royal administrative office to this Palace, and proclaimed Suwon city as the capital of the nation. During his royal trip to this Palace, the palace become King's Royal Residence and rest place, but back to function as the government office when the King was away.

Suwon Chicken StreetAccording to the Koreans, the original famous Korean Fried Chicken is came from Suwon. The original Jinmi tondak chicken craves by many who visits Suwon city for the first time. There is one street that dedicated for this super delicious dish. Usually they match the Korean chicken with Korean Beer (Mekju) this combination becomes famous as Chimek (chicken+mekju).

Flying SuwonFlying Suwon is a flying balloon served for tourists who want to experience viewing Suwon city from 150meters above. The balloon catapult by helium instead of hot-air - makes it saver to ride. A 20-minutes ride admiring Suwon's sky, can be experienced in day or night time. Many local Koreans take this as one of their romantic date course and making memories together. The Flying balloon start nearby Hwaseong fortress.

Gwanggyo Lake ParkGwanggyo Lake Park is an ecological park in the midst of new town. Gwanggyo Lake Park consists of seven zones centered around Woncheon Lake and Sindae Lake including Urban Levee, Community Forest and Mysterious Mulneomi, great places for picnic, walking, and to hold various events. Enjoy beautiful lights at Urban Levee during night time.

Paldalmun GatePadalmun Gate is the Southern gate of Hwaseong fortress built in 18th century. Inside the gate there is 2-stories of wooden Pavillion. The name Paldalmun has meaning as a gate opening to a road that leads to all directions.

Hwaseomun GateHwaseomun Gate is the Western Gate of Hwaseong Fortress, recorded as National Treasure No. 403. Over the stone mujigae (rainbow) door is a single-story tower gate. Looking at its shape, it is ranks first for its architectural beauty among other four gates. Makes it the most sought place for photoshoot.

Janganmun GateThe North Gate of Hwaseong Fortress is Janganmun. Jangan means capital, implying that Hwaseong Fortress is the secondary capital during Joseon dynasty. Janganmun is the largest gate among others as it is served as the main gate. The unbelievable fact that it turns to be larger than the Sungryemun Gate (the Royal Palace's gate of Gyeongbokgung) in Hanyang (Seoul) capital.

Hwahongmun GateHwahongmun Gate known also as Buksumun is the gate part of Hwaseong fortress. It is the gate where the Suwoncheon (Suwon Stream) flows under entering Hwaseong. Besides function as a bridge, it is also the point location to place the canons to defend the fortress.
